Founded in Switzerland in 2017, Swiss-SASEM is headquartered in the heart of Switzerland — synonymous with precision, quality and international openness. We are fundamentally Swiss in our values, while reflecting the diverse backgrounds and cultures of our students and staff.

Our Story
How Swiss-SASEM Came to Be

Swiss-SASEM was born from a frustration with the growing gap between what traditional business education offers and what ambitious professionals actually need. Too many MBA programmes remained theoretical, inflexible and designed around the constraints of full-time academic calendars rather than the realities of executive life.

The founders set out to build something different: a school rooted in the Swiss tradition of rigour and craftsmanship, but structured around the student. Small cohorts. Expert faculty drawn from active professional practice. A personalised tutorial system that treats each student as an individual.

2017
Founded in Switzerland

Swiss-SASEM opens in Switzerland with its inaugural MBA cohort, built on a personalised Oxford-style tutorial model. The school commits from day one to small cohorts, practitioner faculty and student-centred education.

2018
Sierre Campus Opens

A dedicated Swiss campus opens in Sierre at the Technopôle — Switzerland's Digital Center — embedding Swiss-SASEM within an innovation hub of start-ups, research institutes and government agencies.

2019
First MBA Dual Degree — Shakarim University, Kazakhstan

Swiss-SASEM launches its first international dual degree MBA programme in partnership with Shakarim State University, Semey — the foundation stone of a growing Central Asian academic network and the beginning of the ARQA accreditation journey.

2020
International University Partnerships — Kazakhstan · Portugal · France · Poland

Formal academic partnerships established with universities across four countries: Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty), M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University (Shymkent), L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana), Alikhan Bokeikhan University & Semey Medical University (Kazakhstan), Instituto Politécnico de Viseu (Portugal), French partner institutions, and Jan Amos Komenski University of Applied Sciences (Leszno, Poland).

2021–2022
Short Expert Programs Launched

Swiss-SASEM introduces its portfolio of Short Expert Programs — focused 3 to 5-day intensive certifications for senior professionals, covering Strategic Finance, AI & Leadership, ESG Strategy, International Negotiation, Healthcare Economics and Education Management.

2023
Expert Seminar Series Launched · European Expansion into Germany

The Swiss-SASEM Expert Seminar Series is introduced — half-day and full-day practitioner-led sessions on board governance, data-driven decision making, family business succession, executive communication, crisis leadership and pricing strategy. Available in Switzerland and online. New academic partnership established in Germany, extending Swiss-SASEM's presence across the German-speaking world.

2025
ARQA Accreditation of MBA & DBA · New Partnerships: Philippines · Serbia

A landmark year: Swiss-SASEM's MBA and DBA programmes receive formal accreditation from ARQA (full member of ENQA) — anchoring European degree recognition via the Lisbon Convention across 57 signatory states. New academic partnerships established with institutions in the Philippines and Serbia, extending Swiss-SASEM's reach into Southeast Asia and Southeast Europe.

2026
Business School Campus — M. Auezov University, Shymkent

Swiss-SASEM opens a dedicated Business School Campus at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University in Shymkent — deepening the partnership forged in 2020 and bringing Swiss-quality management education to Central Asia's second-largest city and one of Kazakhstan's most dynamic economic and industrial centres.
